Sri Nimishamba Devi Temple, Srirangapatnam
It’s believed (and proven to be True for me) that you will receive whatever you ask for at Sri Nimishamba Devi temple, Srirangapatnam (near Mysore), Karnataka, India.
There are two versions of the belief.
The first one is that your wish is fulfilled or the process of fulfillment begins within one minute.
The second version of the belief is that you would have the blessings of the Nimishamba Devi every minute.
Both versions of the belief are linked to “one minute” as the name of the Goddess includes the word “Nimisha” which means “minute.”
The temple also houses an extremely powerful Sri Chakra which was believed to have been brought here from The Shri Mookambika Temple by the ruler Krishnaraja Wodeyar when he built the Sri Nimishamba temple.
During my first two trips to Mysore, I didn’t know about the Nimishamba temple. During my third trip last month, Dr. Yoganand (thank you so much, Yogi!) suggested we visit the Nimishamba temple. He also mentioned that what we want and ask Her for will be fulfilled by the Goddess and that we should ask for only one thing. Reminded me of clarity of thought / focus / importance of knowing and prioritizing what one really wants.
The moment he said that my thoughts started to race, and my mind started focusing on what I should ask. I asked myself what it is that I really wanted. Several questions filled my mind. Self talk followed. I eventually thought I should focus on just one thing I want. If I could want and ask for just one thing, what would that be?
My subconscious has probably took over and ran it for me in the background for the next two hours until we reached the temple.
I wouldn’t go into the specifics of what happened after that.
Miralces happen to those who believe and have faith! If you’re one of them, you should first discover, with as much clarity as you can have, what it is that you want. It could be anything, including money. Then, believe that Sri Nimishamba Devi will fulfill it for you.
Visit the Temple, ask for what you want, have faith, and prepare yourself to receive it (without worrying about how and when it would happen). Your wish would get fulfilled or will start to get fulfilled as soon as you make the wish!
